Seattle

Hannah had a meet this weekend
in Seattle.  Hannah has waited
for a year for this meet
because she wanted
to go back to Seattle.
Here is the mother of all
Nordstroms!! As you can
see it was only a drive
by - Kevin wouldn't
stop the car.

Mostly because we were
running (not walking) to
get back to Umi's
for some sushi!
We found this place
three years ago when
we were on vacation.
When we found out
Hannah had a meet there
that's all we wanted to
do was to go back.

This is Hannah's ecstatic
face for being back at Umi's!

First we order the
Three Devils on the left
and our very most favorite
the Mango Tango.  It
was even better this time around.

Next came the Casino Royale
and the Naughty Roll.
The Naughty Roll was also
delicious!

And then after three years of
waiting and 30 minutes after
getting there
this is what was left!
Nothing.  It was so good!

This was the Space
Needle through the trees.
I kept getting blurry pictures,
plus it was dark.

We had a few hours to kill on Saturday,
and Kevin always needs to
make it a learning experience,

so we went
to this little museum
on the Klondike Gold Rush.
It was one of the better museums
we've gone too.
They had little activities for Hannah
to do along the way.
I learned that's how John Nordstrom
came to start a shoe store
after he had found
some gold - so I was quite
appreciative for that!!

I love all the old buildings
and architecture in
Seattle.
Here is a cute little bus
stop.

We found this little waterfall
right in the middle of a
block.  We also found
this really cool glass blowing
store.  We found a really
cool glass blown light
to go over over the
dining room table.
They are going to
ship it to us - so I will
take pictures when it
gets hung up.
Hannah did awesome again for
being a Level 9 gymnast.
The meet didn't even start until
6:30 their time (7:30 our time).
Here first event was bars and
didn't even get on those
until 9:00 our time.
The meet was finally over
around midnight. I can't
believe they would go that late.
Hannah did awesome.
She took 2nd on bars with a
9.225.
Beam she got her highest
score ever with a 9.6 and
took 1st.
Floor was 9.150 and took
4th.
Vault was 9.175 and
she took 4th.
Her All-Around was
37.15 which is her
second highest All-Around
Ever!!

Hannah took 2nd in the
12-14 age group. She lost
the All-Around by just 2 tenths
of a point.
They all received these
cute plaques and then
got to put a sticker on of
what place they took.
Their team also took
1st place!
Level 8, 9, and10's
all took first.
Not sure Seattle will
invite us back, but it
was a fun long night!
