Venice Beach

Hannah had a meet this past
weekend in Riverside, CA.
We flew into LAX and then
Kevin decided to take us
to Venice Beach to get
some lunch and hang
out for a while.
We ate at this little
restaurant right on the
beach.
I have to say it was
about 75 degrees and
after being in the 30's
for so long here
 it was hot!

Kevin has taken us to a
few beaches and this was
the first time to
Venice Beach and
let me just way WOW!

The other beaches have
been pretty normal, but
this one was like it
says a "Freak Show!"
The dogs of choice on the
beach were Rotweilers!
I was afraid that one
would get loose and
eat Hannah in one bite!
One guy was walking
three Rotweilers
and his cat.

Then we came upon this -
there were several
different store-fronts
that were selling
medicinal marijuana.
One guy was asking for
money so he could go buy
some marijuana.
I guess at least he
was being honest.



It's weird that you can
take an hour and a half
plane ride and go from
30 degrees to 75 and
be on the beach.



Hannah would be the
perfect California girl.

Oh yeah - and Hannah had
her meet early Saturday
morning.
She got her second
highest floor score
ever and placed 6th
All-Around in her
age group - which
once again was the
hardest
age group.  At least
she is hanging in
there with all the
really good West
Coast girls.
Her team took first
place.  Her coaches
were estatic!
Way to go Olympus!
